 Weifang Legang Food Co., Ltd. is one of the largest meat duck and pig processing enterprise at present in China with most perfect facilities and best quality. The total assets is RMB5,000 million and there are 11, 000 staff members, and the annual production value reaches RMB7,000 million. It is one of the Agricultural Industrialization Top Ten Leading Enterprises of Weifang City, one of the Large-scale Industrial Enterprises and the Top 100 Private Enterprises of Shandong Province, and one of the National Agricultural Industrialization Key Enterprises.
The Company locates at Honghe Town, Changle County, Shandong Province, in the hinterland of Shandong coastal economic open zone, less than 200 kilometers apart from Jinan and Qingdao respectively, with favorable natural, economic and social conditions. There are 15 parent-stock duck breeding farms, 1 hatchery, 50 own-occupied standard commercial duck breeding farms, 3 feed mills, 4 meat duck processing & refrigerating plants, 3 cooked food processing plants, 1 duck down processing factory and 1 down products processing factory, which formed a complete meat duck production and management system. There are 6 parent-stock pig breeding farms,10 commercial pig breeding farms and 1 pig slaughtering & processing plant, which made the complete pig production system becoming better and improving day by day. The annual meat duck breeding and processing capability is 40,000,000 ducks, which can produce 150,000 tons of all kinds of duck meat products. The annual pig breeding capability is 600,000 pigs, and have developed more than 200 contract social breeding farms, formed an annually slaughtering capability of 1,000,000 pigs and the annual pork products processing capability is 100,000 tons. The Company can produce 50,000 tons of cooked duck and port meat products each year. At the same time, it can produce 600,000 tons of feed, 5,000 tons of finished duck down, and 1,000,000 pieces of duck products.
The Company introduced SM3 Cherry Valley meat ducks from UK and Star ducks from France, which are with better meat quality, high disease resistance, and high feed reward. Its cooked duck products have broad market as a top grade meat food. The Company introduced Topigs from the Netherlands which are with better meat quality and high lean meat percentage. The Company is equipped with advanced facilities, and the main processing facilities are the first-class poultry slaughtering lines introduced from the Netherlands and Denmark. The building design of the workshops is scientific; the sanitation facilities are complete. All of these conform to the Sanitation Registration Requirements for Export Foods Processing Plants / Cold Storages.
The Company has built up complete sanitation, quality and safety system of foods: it has passed the authentication of ISO9001 and HACCP, carrying out the good manufacturing practices such as GMP, SSOP; it has realized “Five Unification” control management; there are different laboratories subsidiary to its own Quality Test Center to test microbes, poultry diseases, pesticide residues and feed accurately.
The Company has set up its perfect marketing network at home and abroad. All kinds of frozen and fresh meat duck and pork products are exported to dozens of countries, such as EU, Japan, South Korea, USA, Canada, Switzerland, South Africa, and Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe, etc. Also its products are sold well in more than 20 domestic provinces and cities in China. The domestic market share of finished duck down and down products is increasing rapidly. The annual supply ability of parent-stock ducklings and commercial ducklings is 2 million sets and 200 million ducks respectively. The ducklings are of pure strain and sound characteristics, sold very well throughout the country.
